While I was working in the barn on Sunday piper was watching over her herd. She actually is not very good at herding the horses. She just ends up barking at them to no real result. Except me screaming at her in my pay attention to me dog voice.

So this time it was Nash’s turn to meet Chex and Warlock. It was cute with the baby because after the initial checking each other out Nash so started to lick the baby. The Chex had to check things out when the nipping, play biting and squealing started. So I am happy to say they are all getting along really well. Just in time for the last boarder to join us in April.

We moved 132 bales of hay from the truck to the hay loft yesterday. Luckily this crazy weather held out for the delivery and unloading. Thanks as always to the farm family for your help.
This is what 211 bales of hay looks like.

Update on the fencing: it has been such a wet and rainy month that the posts have not set. So we got 1/4 of the fence up and had to put a temporary fence across the field for now. A big thanks to all my friends for coming out to help with fence party part 2.
Lastly, at the end of the evening I took time to give a little love to Reds (aka Barron).
Grassy Pastures
May 18, 2012
Last week the horses were put out for the first time this year in the front pasture. It was like heaven for them. With the little rain we had at the beginning of spring it took a little longer to grown. Now the grass is way high, gonna put them out again today!
