So (with some convincing from my friends) I decided it was time to get another dog. I started looking at rescue dogs to keep Piper company and bark when people knock on the door. After a long search and some disappointment I came across Shadow. He was at a kill shelter in Ohio. The rescue organization posted him as available for foster. They arranged transport to Center Valley where we (my farm family and I) picked him up.
It was love a first sight for all of us. He was a little nervous and shook up from his long car ride, but was such a good boy. He is already fitting in very well at the farm, he is not at all bothered or nervous around all the farm animals. Now I am just waiting to see if he will be my little watch dog.
He is truly living up to his name, follows me around and is my Shadow.

I have to agree with Steve, Shadow seemed a bit sad and I knew he was unsure of what was happening to him but even with all that, he was the sweetest boy and gave lots of kisses. I wish I could have seen him when he realized he found a wonderful forever home. When Steve drove off with Shadow and Brandy both in the front seat, I was so happy they were both safe. Then when I got the email from you showing him in his new home, I was as happy as I know Shadow is now. Thank you so much for giving him a chance to find out what love is and that there really are good people in this world. You go Shadow, be happy and enjoy the life you struggled so long to get, you deserve it.
