Cleared the Back Pasture

The back pasture was filled with cedar trees and not providing the pasture land we needed for the farm. Last week we found a local excavator to clear it for us. We now have a huge pile of cedar trees to get rid of. I posted a ad on craigslist and a local wood worker is picking through the pile for the good ones. He actually supplies many of the wood furniture and art for Fort Wilderness in Disney World.

Hump day trail ride

Bushy, Pleasure, and Apple went on today's trail ride. Poor Pleasure could not keep up with the power house trotters but she enjoyed the ride. We were rushing to get back to the barn before dark so we even did a little cantering. I think I might be sore tomorrow, couldn't tell you the last time I did this much riding.

About a month ago we sold Jules. She is doing so well with her new owner that I had to share the photos with you. While we miss her around here she seems to love her new home and is doing so good there.
Saturday lesson

A colleague came today for a riding lesson . It did not go as planned but ended up being a good ride. Nash was wonderful such a good boy! It was his first time at the farm with a novice rider.

Thanks to Brian, Joe and lil Joe we have a front pasture! All of the horses are enjoying their first evening out on real grass!
