First Snow Fall of the Year

We were jolted into winter with snow in October! While it looks so pretty,
I am definitely not ready for it. With all the leaves still on the trees and
the snow being so wet and heavy it brought down many trees in our area. We
were without electricity for almost 4 days. Fortunately we have a backup
generator hooked up to the water pump so the horses still had water. We
were also lucky none of the trees came down on any of our structures.

I spent some time with Bilbo and Frodo. The loved the attention and in fact were fighting for it. “Pet me” “NO, pet me” They are really very sweet and gentle animals.
