Jackie, Rachael and I went for a great evening ride on Jackie’s horses. Thanks to a neighbor we found a trail and did some off-roading. Apple Jacks was the star of the day. He was rescued from the Auction abou 2½ months ago and has come along way from the sad, shaggy, skinny horse he used to be. He lead the trail ride the whole way, listened and responded to everything I asked of him. He and Bushy had a trotting race on the way home where I had to go into “jockey position” because I could not post that fast. Jackie almost fell off Bushy she was laughing so hard. Then when we got home I told Jackie, Apple would open the gate. Which after I noticed was unlocked. He walke right up to it, lifted his head over it and pushed it open. So much fun!

Meet Nash
June 26, 2011
He is a Tennessee walker from Kentucky. A nearby farm rescued him from being shipped to Canada for meat. I went to ride him on Sunday. I fell in love with him, his smooth running walk gait will be great for trail rides. He has a very sweet nature and “concerned” eyes. His expression was saying what am I doing here and please take me home. So that is what we are going to do, he will be coming to his forever farm on Friday!

I took Oreo, Snickers, and Dobie for a walk today in the small pasture. We got to the far end and they stopped following me to nibble on the greener grass on the other side of the fence. Sent via BlackBerry by AT&T
